I have done some research on the internet and found that while there probably are some real Data Entry jobs, they are really hard to find. I would say that a majority of the data entry sites that you find online are a scam of some sort.

The one I find the most is they want you to pay them 99 dollars up front and then they teach you their system that will make you hundreds or even thousands per week. I do not know about you but I would never pay to type.

There is a lot more legitimate work from home or data entry jobs than real ones. When studying the listings I would assume that the jobs listed are scams until I researched them and found reasons that the listings are real. Like researching the company maybe calling and talking to people there and so forth.

Here are some ideas on avoiding scams that I would follow closely and you have probably heard before.

Find out how the job pays. Is it a salary job? Does it pay on commission? Is it a contract job?

Get Rich Schemes are usually a scam. They promise that you will earn a lot of money fast and easy but that usually never happens. They will always have testimonials too of people that followed there courses and got rich. Usually you have to pay for they schemes too up front.

As I have said before and many times, there are companies that ask for money up front to buy their start up kit or course. Legitimate companies will not charge you up front.

Calling the company and talking to some people there and seeing if the job has worked out for them. If there is now way to contact anyone then you know.

And never look at or open email that you do not know who it came from “Junk mail” or “Spam”. It might be from a company that says they want to hire you and asks you to fill out a form or asks questions. Believe me though it out. It is so easy to get caught up in this kind of scam.

If you are employed now and want to work from home, talk to your boss and see if he/she is willing to work out part time at home or even full time. Remember it is an advantage for the employer to let you work from home your employer might not be aware of them. (I will go into the advantages to the employer in another article.)
